Awesome guy. Awesome piper. Truly awesome pipes.
I’m the newest addition to his waiting list (which is still pretty short!).

oh yeah,
Kevin R. is pretty cool too… his Bflat set is ridiculous. In a good way…

awesome thread in a bad way
Dude, Rory! You’re bringing me down, man!
Jordan–If you don’t mind divulging all the off-color details, what is his waiting list like these days? What % of the price did you have to pay to get in the queue? Was it really 50% like it says on his website? Not that I’m seriously considering getting new pipes from anyone at the moment, juuuust curious.
…And just what sort of pipes are you getting? B? C? D? Full set? Half set? Full set and a half (like Kevin’s)? Do tell.
hello,
ordered a half set in B, ebony brass and boxwood. Didn’t think to ask if he would take less than 50% down… He figured I’d be waiting about a year. Don’t know if it’s longer for a full set? He did have a beautiful full set in B, ebony brass and art ivory I think, that he was building on spec that looked to be nearly done. wouldn’t be much of a wait for that one.

How involved is it to add regs to an existing 1/2 set?
The gist being, if one has a half set, and wanted regs from someone
other than the original pipemaker… I would think that the set has to be
sent away to the person making the regs, right? Meaning that they would have to be made specifically for your set?
On the other hand, if one could find an existing set of regs, buying used, what would be involved in fitting them to the half set? I’m sure it wouldn’t just be plug in and play?
ok
Sorry, about that, as I wanted to post to a new topic. Thanks, Jim.
