I got this for Christmas 2012. I already have a bag and reeds from him ( that I was using on a Vignoles Chanter). And I just ordered a bellows, stock, and set of drones.
So I wrote a little review of it here with pictures and video.
Was that thing made in the last century? Brad gave up on the huge holes/scallops/oversized keys really early in his career. Usually it’s a wood chanter top too. He’ll do all sorts of custom work of course. Glad you like your stick. Ewww.
I have a D chanter that was made last year that looks just like this one and the keys are very easy to use by the way. The keys are right where my fingers are. It is a copy of a 30’s Rowsome chanter and sounds great. The good thing about Brad is that he has a few chanter, or I should say several, models to choose from. Everything from this short chanter model to a small bore D. Of course he is more well known for his flat sets.
