8-10 trunks from 2inch to 3.5 inch dimeter 5-8ft length
the bark is still on them

I’m trying to figure out what one can make out of that size boxwood, other than plugs for holes and repair material for blocks and such. I mean even with the larger sizes being 3-3.5 in diameter, once you quarter saw and allow for shrinkage and warpage, you’d be lucky to be left with just enough to make soprano whistles, certainly no flute parts.

A friend of mine is a woodshop teacher and her kids make pens out of exotic wood as a final project.
Hmmm… I wonder if any of those kid swell up on some of that stuff?
I never thought to ask.
