Why’s it always the same flute?
'Cos it’s the one the professional scamsters (likely always the same crew) harvested… Clever, dokey b*****s can’t be bothered to get another one…
It’s back again on Craigs list no 7049. Posted 11 days ago - 16th July. Address seems to be Turner Road, Edgeware London. I was about to include it on the serial number list but warning bells induced me to do a web search first:
RUDALL CARTE 8 KEY FLUTE - £1500: This is an old 8 keyed flute by Rudall Carte serial no. 7049. It is in superb condition without cracks or damage of any kind and with no old repairs. No replacement parts or alterations. Pads look good but are old and a re-pad may be needed to restore good playing condition. Original case, lid detached. Overall length 66cm. Sounding length 57.9cm.
I have included 7049 in the list as I had missed it. See it was bought by Hammy from a lady dealer on E-Bay in 2007 and sold by Hammy to collector who I assume still owns the flute, (Michael Flaherty, Paddy Moloney - Chieftains?).
