Bb Delrin flute search..

Hi All,
I’m looking for a low Bb flute in Delrin.I know VDM in Galway offers one,but does anybody know of any other makers that do??

Many thanks

Maybe John Gallagher? I don’t think he mentions Delrin on his site, but I remember people on this forum saying that he makes flutes in Delrin as well as wood.

Is it any standard of Bb your looking for my friend or something really good ie expensive ?

yes, John Gallagher makes flutes in Delrin (i have one), and they are the most amazing flutes.

John’s Bb flutes are amazing. I sent some rosewood over to him a few months back in the eventuality when I order my 8 key Bb flute him. He definitely makes delrin flutes and also offers other cool options like bronze rings and keywork.

If I had the extra funds lying around I would be driving south myself to see John about a flute in the Bb variety. How long until the Timber flute festival? Anyone know the date… Pat?

Sadly, the Timber Flute Festival is no more. The last one was 4 summers ago. I see John when I do the Augusta Irish Week now.

Wow, I had no idea. I guess I need to get out more. :frowning:

Thanks for the replies guys.John Gallagher’s flutes look nice indeed,I might give him a shout..

The important question to be asked here is whether such an instrument would be capable of producing a hard C#

Good question Heptachord! Any takers??
