I came across this great whistle album accidentally.
“Basically” by Robbie MacGowran & Ruairi Kelly
It’s subtitle is “Traditional Irish Music - Tinwhistle and Guitar”.
And that’s it. Lovely.
For me it is a “must have”…

Its in the C&F list of whistle albums, but the name is spelled different (McGonigle, Tom and Robert McGouran - Road Map of Ireland)

FWIW, McGouran was the spelling used on the Outlet recording. Anyone looking for that one should use that spelling I suppose.

In all fairness though, you have been quite vocal on this particular subject over on thesession.org. Including almost quite literally the same post as above.
