There’s a Canadian company which makes leather and synthetic bags for GHB, SSP and Uilleann Pipes. I read it recently on this forum but a search has failed to turn up the post with the name and website of the company. Anyone know the company I’m referring to?
Maybe its L & M Highland
That’s them. Thanks.
Yes, L&M, but if memory serves, they only sell wholesale. You may have to purchase through a pipemaker.

I think you may probably need to order the bag from a pipemaker or this place… http://www.tartanthistle.com/Bagpipes_pipebag_L&M_gannaway_ross.html scroll down to the bottom of the page.
… as I do not think that they take orders from the general public for these things. However, I may be mistaken.
Your right, They only sell wholesale… I have a Wholesale accout with them but havent ordered in a while.. Orders are a minimum of $500 Canadian…
pj,
If I am not mistaken, NPU was selling L & M bags with special long necks for UPs. Check back over your back issues of An Piobaire.
I’ve just spotted that Pat Sky sells vinyl bags for $75!! Yippee!!
Here’s the direct link to L & M Uilleann bags:

Seems several top pipemakers have their own templates for bag dimensions with L & M. Very impressive!
I have one made from one of Joe Kennedy’s templates. It is a smaller bag with a very thin neck. Perhaps better suited to a flat set than my concert set but still a very well made item.
May as well include this link… http://www.landmhighland.com/default.asp?mn=1.10
Quoted from the L&M site:
"Seth Gallagher, Na Piobairi Uilleann, Cillian O’Briain, Joe Kennedy, Patrick Sky, Tim Britton, David Quinn, John Mitchell and David Boisvert. … They do however all seem to have a long slender neck, with a deep, rounded belly. "
Is he describing the bags or the makers ![]()
…it’s the ‘aging’ process. ![]()
I just checked the Wholesale price list for L&M
MPC-1410 New-Uilleann Pipe Bagp $95.00 Canadian
MPC-2000 Sky-Uilleann Naugahyde $56.00 Canadian
not too bad…
