Has anyone tried this on their reeds? Apparently, if you soak cane slips in it overnight, it’ll give your pipes a really authentic Irish tone:

Hmmmm! Worth a try I guess.
I was using 50 gallon drums of Irish Mist, especially collected from Slieve Callan (the" mist covered mountain" of the tune name) by the indefatigable Mr.Gumby and shipped out here monthly. This was purely for testing purposes whilst making his latest set… but the results were inconclusive… perhaps the samples lacked the horizontal rain and ‘soft day’ breezes of the Atlantic coast ?

Not so sure you’d say that if you had heard them a few days ago, hard to improve on that!
And then the humidity went up to 90 and I put them away.
If you drink it and it moves on through the digestive system will the results be 40 shades of shhhh…
