Robots totally beat pirates.
Pirates are way cooler. Looting, pillaging, sailing, and drinking rum by the barrels! Oh yeah…and chasing booty. 
Pssh.
One word:
Lasers.
Ok, so I can’t argue that robots have cooler weapons. But, Pirates are WAY better from an asthetic point of view.
