Anyone tried the new Copeland flutes yet?

Well, it’s been a year since the new Copeland flutes made their appearance, has anyone tried one yet?

Nope, haven’t heard so much as a word. I’ve got this old Copeland flute, but I don’t know what changes Michael had in mind when beginning to make flutes again.

I have played their model flute, the one they let people try in hopes of generating orders. It is Mike’s personal flute, too. I don’t want to post a public review.

should I ask why? I’d think they’d want some press on these since its been so quiet on them.

Looks like you just did!

Jessie has caught flak in the past for posting
public reviews of flutes–though her reviews are
very helpful, IMO, and I beleive she has a
policy, or nearly so, of not doing it.
I wouldn’t draw any inferences.

What we need is somebody who has
one of the new ones. Hello?
Anybody out there?

I do post reviews. But sometimes personal reasons prevent it. Draw inferences at will.

Anybody else out there?

Maybe Jessie’s new husband (the guy in the pic) is Michael Copeland or Jim Rementer in disguise, so she doesn’t want to post a review? :moreevil:

Has Copeland sold many of those new flutes? His older flutes, or many of them used brass slides and keys. He’s such a nut for the workability of brass, but I don’t think it adds to the posterity value of his flutes. Silver is it, baby.

I’d love a Copeland flute if Michael were committed to studying why people like Olwell’s, then make my flute. It might be the best flute around.
