Anyone know this tune?

the link is to a YouTube video of a football player, but there’s a nice jig on the fiddle and I don’t know the name.

Also if you know the performer I’d love that too.

My old school buddy Dougie McLean composed and performed it for a video presentation about the “Loch Ness Monster”. It won him a gold disc when it was featured in “Last Of The Mohicans”, where I think it was given the title “The Kiss”.

Wow, thanks.

“Loch Ness Monster” … “Last Of The Mohicans” … “The Kiss” … and American football. What strange juxtapositions! :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought it was titled “The Gael.” Oh well.

and I should add-- this is an amazingly well-put together sequence (partly because of the scoring) from a mediocre film:

No - you’re absolutely right. I just came back to say that Dougie’s original title for it was indeed “The Gael”. There was some discussion about it last year at “The Mudcat Cafe” forum, and I think there was a link to the music as well.

Usually those type videos are score with rap–and they come off pretty cool that way. So more’s the surprise when I came across one scored with a fiddle tune.
