Any thoughts on these?

You might do a search, as I believe that there have been previous discussions on these reeds. I bought some and they worked great in my Seery drones. You may need to check the dimensions of the reeds, as they may not fit your drones. I can send you the dimensions if you need them, or you can get them from eze-drone. They will answer your questions quickly. They may not have the tonal depth of a cane reed, but certainly seemed stable and good enough for my ear.

i’ve got ezdrones in the bass and bari drones, but a cane reed in the tenor. ezdrone for tenor was too big for the hole.

I had the same situation with my Childress drones. The bass and baritone reeds worked fine, however.

I am very satisfied with them. Recommendable! A bore of 10 mm for the tenor is O. K. Their sound is good. I think you have to listen fairly hard to tell a difference to cane. The sound depends quite a lot on the making of the drones, anyway. There are drones that - well - drone and there are drones that “sing”. What I do especially like about these reeds is their fairly easy but relyuponable “adjustability” - towards climate and set (they work for narrow D and CP), their “negative” tongue (pointing towards the drone - an old f*rt in GHB-technology meanwhile) - harder to damage when inserting drone into mainstock; also plays if reed is inserted a bit lobsided - and that they are a bit more robust than cane.
