Another new pipe maker

I had a visit from one of my students yesterday and got quite a supprise when he brought along his best pal and his latest wares.

I was flabbergasted when he showed me these, have a look at these latest shots of a set made by Mr Wayne Paddon, they have four drones made entirely from Cocobolo, with hand rolled nickel silver ferrules throughout, imitation ivory mounts, semi hollow sotck.

This was his very first attempt at making anything like this, it took him about ten days to complete a half set, this is hidden tallent for sure, he completed all the work himself and was guided through the process by one of this years students Jim Carroll.

The bellows are hand stitched and made from Cocobolo, the chanter is from Macassa Ebony, regs are being made as we speak, I will post some when they are done.

In this low fat industry I don’t think so, but you never know, if I win the lotto on Saturday.
