This saga has become a daily routine for me,checking the latest on Andrea and her whistle.I hope to see more picture of Andrea and her whistle.I use to obsess over Martha Stewart in the garden with her red tipped whistle but now I’ve seen Andrea.Life in America is good.
I don’t know about that Martha S. picture. There was something kind of … umm … kind of unnatural seeing Martha S. with a whistle in her hand. I think its because I can’t see her doing anything that involves spit ![]()
Its too bad we couldn’t actually get a reply from Ms. Corr herself to put an end to our baseless speculation. But, if we didn’t have baseless speculation to blather on about I suppose this thread might die a premature death ![]()

Was that supposed to be a dirty comment or do I just have a dirty mind? (or maybe both?)

so it looks like AC is turning into our equivalent of Natalie Portman on slashdot.

I wonder if Ms. Portman plays the whistle?
If she doesn’t, she should!
Now she does!
I wanna ducky shirt!
didymus, what kind of whistle is Ms. Portman holding - I can’t quite make it out?
Hmmm…Looks like a Sindt to me…Could be wrong…

It’s a Sindt. The same pic that is on Chiff & Fipple’s page.

Ahh, Miss Andrea. A fine little lass she is. She leaves me breathless. I know this thread be old, but I had to offer me two cents.
I’d say it be a pleasure to tune her whistle for her, but that might not be appropriate in a family forum.
Sorry, sometimes my alter-ego, Seamus Uhll, sneaks out
.
I’ve been listening to the music of the Corr’s, and they seem to be tailoring to American tastes.
I’ve listened to as many songs as I could get my hands on, and there seems to be very little whistling going on. Maybe I haven’t found the right songs yet. I do like some of the songs though.
And for you lovers of eye candy I hope I get this right, and I hope I don’t get in trouble.

Hi im new to the board - i dont play tin whistle - yet, but i wanna learn how and i came here to find out which key of tin whistle andrea corrs plays - (unfortunately i havent found the answer
). Anndd i just thought id tell ya - as a really big corrs fan which songs 2 find with the tin whistle in.
Its no use checkin out songs from the in blue album because there is practically no tin whistle used atall, - the best to go for are songs of forgiven not forgotten and talk on corners. Such songs are :
toss the feathers, haste to the wedding, along with the girls, i never loved you anyway, dreams, only when i sleep, i know my love (with the chieftains), when hes not around, paddy mcarthy, intimacy, queen of hollywood, love to love you, little wing, lough erin shore, ooh lala (with rod stewart)+ more!!! - happy whistling!
Well done Cody - you’ve found a great reason to revive the Andrea Corr thread!
I just had to contribute to this thread! I’ve been really enjoying the Corrs this whole week.
Cheers!

If Pamela Anderson played whistle I wonder if she would’ve gotten her picture posted here on this board? I think not because Ms. Corr is a little different than Ms. Anderson. What do you suppose it is?
I like the altered DaVinci! I’m one of the few artists who is just not moved by the original Mona’s smile. I’ve read the discussions about the work, and it really does look like a female version of Leonardo. Andrea’s face is an improvement to one of history’s most famous paintings.
I watched part of a Corr’s interview available on the web. One of the questions had to do with what negative stereotypes they have been exposed to about Americans from their own country and others abroad.
In a joking response they mentioned a positive about Americans having great teeth. They looked amongst themselves for a moment to try to reach a conclusion on a negative they were willing to share. The interviewer offered an example of Americans being too loud.
The Corr’s settled on the subject of weight. Basically indicating most Americans are overweight. We are, but the reason I said the above is that I have noticed something here in this little virtual whistling community.
People here try their best to accentuate the positives about even the most negative post or poster. And though we are from all over the globe there is a sense of true community.
I’m from a very old school of where there is honor in family. The family stays together no matter what. The only rule is don’t dishonor another family member.
There are people living on this very street where I reside that don’t communicate as much or as well as some people here on this message board.
I am new here, but thought I’d use this old post (That may never die) to say the previous.
Congratulations people on setting an example for the global village. It is nothing other than treating people well, and being understanding that everyone has a right to their own opinion or style.
Maybe if there wasn’t such a lattitude of style capable on the whistle this board would be more rigid. Maybe the whole world should at least try the whistle. Even if they never master it, or even like the sound of it. It would be sufficient if they could only grasp the concept of it, and use a little of that in their daily lives.
