O.K. so I’m a bit technologically challenged. I just downloaded it, and am enjoying it immensely. :party:

It is pretty simple to use, as in: I put in a CD, and it starts to play once I click the track I want and click start. That’s pretty good, for me.

Any other tips welcomed.

Does it change pitch, as in, tunes on a CD are in Eb but you can change the pitch to D (or is it only Transcribe that does that?).

Are there means to speed up gradually, or are there just the 2 speeds, 66% vs 100%

For now, I’m really happy with it just the way it is.

speed & pitch are sliders…
point at slider, hold down the left button and put it where you want…

There is a Help tab on the menu bar.

…and after you tweek a tune by changing speeds and/or pitch, you can save it.

I use it all the time to learn tunes from flat pitched UP recordings.

…and play it with any application, or with the Slowdowner as a File Player.
You can do the same things with .mp3 and .wav

It really is a good, no-nonsense, does-what-it-says piece of software!
Well worth the money (living just across the water, I could send them the money in local currency in the mail :slight_smile: )

Come to think of it, apart from the slowdowner there are a few other excellent programs developed in Sweden: Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware (free) and Propellerhead’s Reason.
Probably 'cause Swedes as such sensible people :wink:

I´ve also started using it, and it´s brilliant. You need to have a registered copy to be able to choose the playback speed freely.
