I live very close (well, globally speaking) to this place. I will check them out and file a bit of a review for the Forum. I don’t expect that the shop owner or maker will mind very much if he/they is getting a plug on the net.

It is hard to see the blade, though–I’m thinking from the pics that hte blade is fairly long and pretty steeply positioned, somewhat like a Susato.

A google search turns up precisely one hit for “allen and ross” combined with “whistle” – and that is a completely unrelated article on child welfare.

185 pounds is a heck of a lot of cash for a completely unheard of maker unless those tuning slides, heads, and ferrules are gold instead of brass!
