Alan Burton Reed

Remember when Alan promised a free reed to anyone who could identify items in the background of a photo. Well, I did.
That is how I have looked since I got my new reed yesterday. I plugged it into both of my Roberts chanters and it plays easily, spot on tuning in both octaves and a very nice hard D and E.     Did I mention that I’m happy. The guy is in my book under the heading REED GOD. If he can do this kind of work with the stress of a new baby, just think what he could do if he slept all night. He sent me a note saying that this reed wasn’t the best he had done. I think if I lived by him, I would be going through his rubbish bin looking for his throw aways.

Alan- Northern Utah is a very nice place to move a young family and is quickly becoming a hotbed of piping. It is only a few hundred miles to somewhere from here. Thanks again!

Welcome to the club. I’ll bet you never suspected knowing your veggies would ever help you in knowing the difference between good reeds, better reeds, and the best. Quite a revelation eh? Here, have another carrot.
