For a well-rounded - great for both accompanying on the whistle and listening - experience try the Portland CD, with Kevin Burke & Micheal O’Domhnaill. Hardly new - released by Green Linnet in 1982 - it’s still perhaps my favorite, every cut. Familiar tunes like The Rolling Waves, Up In The Air, Some Say the Devil’s Dead; heart-rending listening like Aird Ui Chumhaing; and uplifting like S’iomadh Rud A Chunnaic Mi. Great for everyone, including beginners because the lilting feel of every tune is evident and the tempo is manageble. Try it; you’ll like it. Happy New Year to all.

This is a great CD. We have a copy. Being from Portland, it is always a pleasure to see Kevin Burke perfom as well.
