I did a puny search on ornamentation in the fiddle forum and didn’t find what I was looking for, but please excuse me if this is something that’s already been covered. Is there anything like Brother Steve’s Tinwhistle pages but for fiddlers? Something very clear about ornamentation, with examples and clips, ideally? Not that anything could be as good as Bro Steve’s stuff.

You could try this - it’s pretty wordy.
The thing is, a tutor showing you a few things in a workshop or lesson is worth a million words, video clips and diagrams.

Video clips and all. Caveat - yer man tackles many fiddle styles, and most fiddlers who do that never seem to get Irish style quite right, particularly true for those who come from classical playing. I watched one or two of his clips a year or two back and this was, in my opinion, the case with him.
