Ornamentation tutorial

I’ve been playing for some time and have learned most of my tunes using sheet music. I would like to learn how to naturally add ornamentation to tunes. Is there a GOOD tutorial that covers this topic and comes with examples on cd? Most of the recorded examples I have heard are too fast for me to figure out what the musician is doing.

I have the Complete Tinwhistle Tunebook w/ CD’s, but it’s not much help.

This site has pretty good tutorials on using ornaments. I’ve found it most helpful.

Tradlessons.com is a very good site! Lots of tunes to learn.

You could try slow down software to slow down the CD

You are also reading the descriptions of the ornaments, right?
I know it’s dry reading, but it often takes alternating between
reading and listening before it “clicks”

I had a lot of luck in the beginning with Brother Steve’s site:

i forgot about this -yes the amazing slowdowner is great -i learn all sorts of favorites at a pace that lets you hear all the strikes and rolls
