11th William Kennedy Piping Festival - pictures online

Have a look at

for pictures of this year’s piping festival.

If something doesn’t work for you, please let me know as I haven’t had the chance to test on a Windows machine yet.

All the best,

Paul Eliasberg

Great stuff Paul. Looked like a great festival this year. Thanks for the pictures.

Patrick.

Great pics, Paul.

I’m sure that one feller’s playing his GHB’s back to front!

It would have been helpful if they’d put some names to the faces. I know a few but far from all.

I agree. Only one I recognised was Kathryn Tickle.

…

The lady piper above is Máire Ní Ghráide. And that looks like Spillane alright.

I think the guy playing the boxwood & silver Rogge set is on this list??!?!

Patrick.

I was at the William Kennedy festival on the Saturday at the reed making
class when the lady piper came in, she was having problems with her reed she was panicking a bit, she was playing later on that Saturday evening, your right Patrick her is Maire, I mist Davy Spillane he was on Friday evening, that was the night before I got there, wish I had known, or
I would have flown out on the Friday to see him on that night, must admitt
its the best festival I’ve been to so far, met some pipers, met Sean Dillion who looked after us he’s a great guy and his son “Declan” watch out for this young piper  he’s going to be a big name in piping world he really is something else.

WKPF wasn’t that a TV show?

The man in the bottom photo is fluter/piper Barry Kerr of Lurgan unless I am mistaken.

Regards,

H.

First one’s got Nunez on - I take back my facetious comment about him playing them back to front - he’s a great little mover, isn’t he?

That’s where I’ve been going wrong - I gotta do the boot-scootin’-boogie while I’m playing! And the way he stops blowing? That’s just showing off!
