I was at the world piping concert Friday 17 November 2006. On stage that night was
1st Mike McGoldrick with John Joe Kelly & Ed Boyd
2nd Anxo lorenzo Band (Galica)
3rd Ensemble Shanbehzadeh and this son on drums (Iran).Both got a standing ovation.
last Liam O’Flynn & the Pipers Call Band.

The festival was absolutely fantastic.
I visited thursday, friday and saturday night’s concert and can’t tell what I liked most.
I would very much like to get details on that table of pipes.

Hmm, looked like a Pastoral set, a Kenna one-reg set, maybe a Wm Kennedy set, an Egan… and the brass yoke with lots of flat keys may have been an O’Mealy. Not sure about the American looking thing with flat reg keys on the far side of the flat-brass-keyed one… was the last one (farthest from the camera) a Froment?
But that’s just my guess from the photos.
