YouTube, and artist credit

As everybody already knows, music and other publications of copyright are legally exclusive.

Other sources, however, such as YouTube, for instance, are freely available to the Internet public.

What may be less well known is that YouTube only gives artist credit when the full length of a clip is run.

So, if you like what you hear on YouTube, then please let the clip run to the very end.

I mention this because I occasionally quote YouTube publications, where sometimes the music ends before the clip has fully ended.

Moreover, it’s great to have YouTube as a resource, but perhaps equally great to give an artist full credit.
