he had TWO engine blocks in the bedroom.
Ooooh…that’s just asking for trouble, I knew a fella once (a neighbour, not a friend) who had what was, when assembled, an old Triumph 750 in the hallway of his house. You could hear him tinkering away at various bits and pieces in the evenings. I think the fact that there was carpet in the hall and his wife was forever snagging plastic shopping bags on bits of motorbike that finally made her blow a gasket and leave him too.
I didn’t need to read it because I have no intentions of dying.
I’m with you on that djm. I have no intention of dying any time soon either. A friend said to me after the death of a mutual friend, ‘Ah well, he had a good innings, he was 75’. I said I would be really pissed off if I died at 75 and went to meet my maker. (assuming, with no evidence to confirm or deny it, that there is an afterlife and I went ‘up’ rather than ‘down’)
I said that if I didn’t reach 100 I am going to give whoever meets me at the pearly (or fiery) gates the bollocking of all bollockings for calling me up too soon. ![]()
I have been fortunate enough to do a couple of round the world trips with my wife and kids. I took the trips to see family and friends who are stretched from Canada to New York to Belfast and to London. So as well as catching up with folks we did some amazing sight seeing.
If I was to ‘cark’ it tomorrow, I would die a happy man, but going along with the ‘Only the good die young’ line, I am going to live to 150 ![]()
