anyone got a silver Copeland they wouldn’t mind selling?
You just watched a great deal slip away while you were buying your first $10 Generation for your ‘collection’. Get serious.
I’m sorry, but it’s getting really old. I have a mandolin pick that cost more than any whistle in your collection.
Go ahead and moderate me, but somebody had to say it.
I’m sorry WTC, I really am. But I just took three pages of crap from our friends just for being too serious about nut-oil allergies.
As we read this, the Moderators are gathered in a secret forum where they discuss these issues, and they’re all laughing. And there’s not one member here that isn’t laughing too. So go ahead and laugh.
Peace!
i tried to get that, but he already sold it right before my offer.
OK, well better luck next time buddy! ![]()
just bought the pre numbered one from sponge.
Congratulations! A very nice whistle for your collection. Again, sorry, I was just letting off steam. Best of luck. Play long and prosper!!
It just struck me as funny that your collection would become so incongruous. It’s like a car collector owning two Fords, a Chevy, and a Rolls’ Silver Cloud. It just doesn’t go together. But good luck with it!!
no problem Tim, i know it does sound weird, but most of my collection are high end whistles, i just never had the famous generation whistle, so i thought to add it to the collection. after all, to be a collector, you do have to try to own them all.
even the cheap ones.
Thanks for letting me off the hook!! ![]()
I didn’t know your collection was as extensive as that, since you’ve spoken mostly about low-cost whistles recently.
How about a listing of what you have and what you’re after? It would help those looking to sell.
BWT, I have Ralph Sweet low D tabor pipe of his original design (number 75, near mint condition, about 20 years old) that I could be convinced to part with to someone who would care for it properly. An item for the very serious collector indeed!
well, i need a Thin Weasel and an Abell to really be satisfied with the collection for a long time, then most of the other whistles will be easier to afford. i was just getting through the most expensive ones first. i have to save a lot more money for those ones. my most prized whistle is my O’Riordan D/C set, it took me a long time to aquire those. ![]()
That’s very cool! Most collectors start the other way around, that’s what I misunderstood.
We normally have a basket full of cheap stuff before we start on the big ticket items.
Hey Mods, how about dumping all my silly remarks and letting TWC get on with business?
BTW, I’ve thought about it and I’m willing to make an offer on the O’Riordan D/C set. Uncle Sam’s green money, no PayPal, no track.
sorry Tim, but that is one whistle vowed never to sell. i rarely ever sell whistles, because i bond with them. if i ever see one up for sale though, i will give you a shout. but i am all businessed out right now, i have to save some more before i can buy another whistle.
That’s OK, I’m still just screwing with you. Luv ya dude! ![]()
Love you too Tim ![]()
Hey, when it stops being fun, we might as well just quit!! ![]()
it was close to being yours ,but i had promised it to some else and i had to be patient, and wait for his pm------------sorry bro but your pre-numbered is going to be hot-- i played one with Mike Eskin saturday and that was a nice sound
