Words to "The Foggy Dew"

One is reminded of PG Wodehouse’s observation that in the song Loch Lomond, the quatrain:

Oh, ye’ll tak’ the high road and I’ll tak’ the low road,
And I’ll be in Scotland afore ye,
But me and my true love will never meet again,
On the bonny, bonny sides O’ Loch Lomond.

Contains the somewhat daring rhyme of “afore ye” and “Loch Lomond”.

Lovely.

The only bit of P.G. I ever got around to reading was about the oldest golfer…a collection of storys which were brilliant in the description, and definition, of boring old guys.
Must get around to reading some more…

I got put off PG Wodehouse when I found out what he did in the war. I know he was probably a fool, rather than wicked, but I can’t help thinking about it whenever I hear his name.
