WOOD FLUTE CARE

I have a 25 yr old Casey Burns and have ordered another in NEW ONE blackwood ----the older flute has some surface checking hairline cracks - no big deal - it works great for a Keyless-------- i have oiled the crud out of it when i got it and play about an hour a day after a few days i oil it and let it dry–as per “standard” break in period , i guess--------- should i let it dry as one complete flute or take the 3 pieces apart every time i play it--------- even when i play and it is wet inside, i was told to just pull a small piece of T-shirt through the bore , but not completely wipe it dry------- leave damp----------- will the male ferrule get messed up should i wipe them more-------------

anyway please share your thoughts and any Hot tips- by the way i live in So Cal

wipe it down, take it apart, and store in a safe place.
