Hi folks, I’ve started to notice on my delrin flute the tenon connecting the body to the foojoint has a slight wobble. The tenon is threaded, and there is enough thread to create a seal, is it worth it to rethread the tenon?

Sounds like this is a good starting point. There are enough tutorials on YouTube to get you started on re-threading.
Dental floss (the ribbon type) works pretty well for me…
Many thanks for the responses, the initial threading on the tenon was not great to start with, so I’ll probably end up rethreading the whole thing.

The great thing about Delrin is you don’t have to worry about what thread type you use. I’d also do dental floss.

You probably took care of this already. But I am sort of lazy so when this happens. I just pick a different colored thread and put some where the wobble is. I use a different color so I don’t have to search for the ends when I need to redo it, and likely you will. No one sees the tenon surface of the flute except its owner anyway. That way I can put off rethreading the thing for another day or decade.
