Catherine and John McEvoy’s new CD, lovely flute and fiddleplaying with Felix Dolan on the piano

Archive recordings from the 60s of the fiddle playing of Cree fiddle player
Patrick Kelly

an absolutely gorgeous An Tri is an Rian by Claire Keville, John Weir on concertina and fiddle with Eithe ni Dhonaile on the harp (and a bit of Geraldine Cotter driving the keyboard).

Also launched were Brian McNamara’s Fort of the jewels, a compilation of 78 rpms from the fifties by Gael Lin, a must have double Cd really, and loads of other stuff.

All great stuff.

Peter, are you meeting up with any Chiffers this year or did you manage to get away this time?

So far I have hardly been in town at all, I have nothing official to do and I am planning on keeping a very low profile .

I’m on the lookout for you, Peter…
