Not me. I just finished eating lunch, and I’m quite content. The homemade cookies really finished it off nicely: chocolate cookies with chocolate chips and espresso powder. Mmm…
Oh you did not just say that to a woman who is pms-ing!!!
I’m hungry too, but that’s because I just put a cherry and a pumpkin pie into the oven, so my house smells wonderful. Child #3’s birthday is today, and he doesn’t like cake, so pie it is!
You, Izz, are a good mom. My standard approach is to say, “Which of these lovely frozen entrees from Trader Joe’s would you guys most enjoy fixing yourselves?” Or alternatively, “Should we order pizza or Chinese?”
The only other out is to go to the Atlanta Bread Company and get soup and sandwiches.
But I guess it’s my shameful failing at domesticity, among other things, which convinced me to quit at 4 children.
I’ve got about 3 dozen of those homemade chocolate cookies at home. Oh, and dinner last night was pasta stuffed with herbed chicken, covered in asparagus sauteed with olive oil, garlic and pine nuts. Mmm…
moxy!!! why’d you have to start this thread??? the chocolate cookies alone are making me really hungry. I’m thinking you just wanted all of us to suffer along with you
Actually, em, it has nothing to with me being a good mom. It has everything to do with the absolute guilt I have if I don’t exactly what they want on their birthdays I for one would much rather get one of those lovely entrees from Trader Joe’s.
