Chris
which whistles are everyone talking about? A couple sources for several types though(including inexpensive,) would be whistleanddrum.com or larkinthemorning.com.

For low prices and selection I think it would be hard to beat the whistle shop. - Best thing of course is find 2 or 3 places and compare. Probably with any online shop it may be an idea to get a few inexpensive whistles to try since the shipping will be about the same. Seems silly to pay $6.00 shipping on just a $3.00 Meg whistle. -mike
Hi-- welcome to the board!
Since you mentioned harmonica (nice site, BTW), do you play any Celtic music on harmonica, and if so what type to you prefer: chromatic or not?
Thanks, it is a nice board! I really like it. I play the diatonic harmonica, I mostly play blues or just mess around , I just play for myself. I am heading out to California to the Jon Gindick Jam Camp next week, always room for improvement! It is a 3 day workshop, for all levels of harmonica players! Glad you like the website.
I’ll talk to you latter.

Welcome Chris ,
I was a blues harp addict for years before becoming whistle addicted.I still enjoy listening to big and little Walter Horton ,Musslewhite, Reeves,Jr. Wells ,Cotton and the other greats.
Just wanted to suggest you go to the main page and check out the Links and Buying whistles on the internet guide as there are several good sources for whistles mentioned there. Many makers also have websites and the links are provided in the guide to low end and high end whistles on the main page.Dale has built a huge source of info here.
Enjoy the Gindick workshop( I heard its likely he has taught more people harp than anyone. Are his books helpful? I’ve thought of getting one )
