WHISTLE TEACHER IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA WANTED

i ibeen on my whistle now for about 8 months and am using grey larsens whistle books. they are very good but i really feel the need for instructions on the finer points of rhythm , articulations and general playing practice. Plus it would be an added bonus if i could be taught music theory .

Hi jayblau,
cannot help you with specific teachers,
But if I were you I would first check out your nearest session or folk club,
talk to people about contacts, spend your money buying lots of good irish music, and listen listen and listen some more,
there are some good music schools out there, i can recommend the school run by www.celt.com.au
hope you persevere, the effort is very much worth it
Regards
David

there is no question of perserverance. i love my whistles. not in the kind of way that a man loves a woman mind you.

i check out a few sessionns around town but notice mostly fiddle and box players. i have seen a few very good flute players around who i intend to befriend !

thanx for the link david
