I looked hard yet myself but there might be more ‘stuff’ out there about organ pipes. Problem would be that a whistle requires a two octave working range which implies compromise
I must confess that the art of “Ducted Flue” design is closely guarded by commercial Recorder makers.
You can find plans in a few “how-to” books, Like Irving Sloane’s “Making Musical Instruments” and Trevor Robinson’s “The Amateur Wind Instrument Maker”, but they give little amateur help. You can find some info here…
I will compile a better list and post later. The angle of the labium ramp determins the speed of register “break” and controls pitch stability. The labium ramp angle varies from a shallow Bressan Recorder and Tabor Pipe angle of 18 degrees for fast register changes and pitch bending to a steep 34 degrees, on some plastic Recorders, for Reedy tone and pitch stability. The variations to the voicing are Legion and each Designer can make modifications to suit any player.
