Whistle Classes in the Madison, Wisconsin Area

Starting in September there are two Irish Whistle classes and one Irish Flute class taught under the University of Wisconsin Continuing Education Program. The classes are:

Irish tin whistle: beginning. This is a four week class for those with no experience playing tin whistle. The class starts September 8th and costs $65.

Irish tin whistle: intermediate techniques. This course continues developing intermediate skills by analyzing tonguing, breathing and finger-ornament techniques. Alan Ng teaches the class, http://alan-ng.net/alan/. The class starts September 23rd and cost $65.

Irish flute. This class is for the novice to advanced players who are interested in learning to in the Irish style. This class starts on September 13th and costs $65.

This weekend brings together Irish speakers of all levels, from folks who have never heard the language to native speakers. This event is a fun and casual way to get introduced to a very beautiful language, and one that may even have been spoken by your grandparents. In addition to language classes, the weekend will entertain you with music, dancing, and meeting new friends.
