Whats the scoop on the alba q1

I have yet to find a review of this whistle, but I am growing quite fond listening to clips online.

  1. what characteristics does this whistle have?
  2. It may be just the sound clip or me, but does this whistle remind you of a original clarke? not sure why just does to me.
  3. opinions on it?

Where can I get one or does any one have one for sale. I heard only one site has them is this true.

It’s a good thing that I’m not easily offended.

Bloomfield you do a review on one if so where is it. I searched but came up with nothing.

At the bottom of the review is a link to another review, which is very good.

Thanks I’m not sure why my search never found any thing. Thanks a ton.

I didn’t remember seeing this review Bloomfield. It is right on though. I certainly love mine. I second the recommendation to email Stacey. It worked for me.

A vote here for both Stacey and the Q1 - she threw one in with a larger purchase, and it’s a lovely sounding elegant little whistle.

Awesome whistle. I hardly ever pick up any of my others any more, including the Oak I learned on and loved better than my friend’s O’Riordan. Sounds fantastic, and it’s one of the coolest looking whistles you’ll find. Buy one.

As for your question about it resemblind a Clarke in sound, it is somewhat breathy, but not nearly as much as a Clarke. It also takes a heck of a lot less air and has a more complex, warmer sound, with lots of overtones.
