Thanks to Dale and Rich for the new board. Looks fine to me. I don’t know from HTML and BBcode but that’s ok. It is the first place I check each AM and come back to many times throughout the day.
PS Received my first Low D whistle last week. It is a Dixon and everyone is right in suggesting it. It sounds great and even with small hands I can reach all the holes.
looks good to me also! way to go Dale and
gang!

one thing that I ran across, maybe I just didn’t understand, duh, is that we have to register as a new member, or at least I did.
the info from the old board, and weekly newsletter didn’t work. so maybe you could send out a quick note to all subscribers to
re-register.
This is nice, far better than Slowboard was!
Aha! I could’nt remember what I was replying to by the time I’d toggled back, So I copied and pasted Dale’s message first into my space, then deleted it before posting so no one would be the wiser. (Old man’s memory compensator)
Mack
made it and the place looks great, thanks to Rich and Dale for keeping us going.
Since I had to re-register anyway figured I might as well use my name instead of my online handle (devilsadvoc8)
So Ron,
You’re in Denver? I just was back east and got to play a session up in Greenfield Mass. and met a very cool uilleann piper/whistle player from Grand Junction. Now if I’m not mistaken, hed be just about half way between you and me here in Salt Lake!
We need a Rocky Mountain session bunch!!! ![]()
All my best,
Brian~
Hey Brian,
There’s a goup here called Blarney Pilgrim. I wonder if your piper and theirs is the same guy?
The Rocky Mountain Sessioners could meet at my place just a couple miles off I-70 at the Clifton exit.
Mack
O Wisely One!
This new board is vastly superior to the previous – good work!

Hey Brian,
You’re in Salt Lake? My sister in law lives there and we visit her a couple of times a year. Next time we do we will have to get together. I’ll bring the Guiness since it’s scarcer than hens teeth there.
Ron
Just had a thought, I know I shouldn’t do that as the results are usually disasterous but what they hey. How about a Rocky Mountain /Western states C&F get together at the Long’s Peak Scottish/Irish Festival in Estes Park? It is a 4 day event and always lots of fun, great bands and lots of sessions if it is anything like the last couple of years.
Would anyone be interested?
Ron
Thanks to Dale and Rich and goodbye old message board!
Wow, I really like this new board. Thanks, guys! ![]()

Hey folks. Whaddya know? For once, I was the first to register my own name! Looks different but at least fast. Glad to see so many regulars are making it over.
Comments:
Ron - If you’re having trouble finding Guinness, have you tried Sam’s Club (Walmart’s wholesale club outlet)? We get it there and at a good price, too.
For whoever asked about HTML or BBcode, both options appear to be available on my screen.

Just as an FYI…at the Sam’s club here in Salt Lake (where I work in the Optical dept.) we have Guinness 8 packs for $10 and change. When a 20 oz. pint in the only pub that has it on tap costs 5 bucks, this is quite a deal! I usually bring a box or two to the ceili’s and sessions I play in here.
All the more reason to get yourselves out here to SLC and PLAY! ![]()
Bri~
Nice and responsive, I like it already!
Hey Chuck,
I don’t have any problem finding Guiness here in Denver, but whenever we go see my sis in law in salt lake we have to bring our own wine or beer to the restaurant for dinner. There are somewhat strange liquor laws in salt lake.
