Several years ago, I participated in the midnight services at a Catholic church in Newark, Delaware. They played something called “Night of Silence”, which was essentially Silent Night with a really beautiful descant. I loved that melody so much that I committed it to memory, but if I go “da da dee dee deeeeee”, no one will know what I mean. And so perhaps the sheet music or a recording is out there in the world, but every whistle player should have this in his or her back pocket for any opportunity to “noodle” around when someone is playing Silent Night. It is most cool.
Good luck,
