uillean piping in the south east of Georgia

Ok…I’m getting desperate…are there no uilleann pipers in south east Georgia (The US version, not the former/current/former Russian caucus.)

Try the SEUPC website, I’ll bet you’ll find one or two pipers. Google SEUPC and you should find it

Thanks. I tried that. Even joined the forum, but alas, nothing yet. Unfortunately, I can’t even go to the tionol they have planned for October.

So, how about North or Central Florida?

John Maze, a contributor to this board and a fine piper lives in Gainesville. I suggest sending him a pm or an email… maze@ufl.edu

thanks for the lead JES.

sorry about the delay - there are some of us floating around the borderlands of florida and georgia. i am in gainesville, there is one in st. augustine, and there are pipers up in atlanta - one known as snoogie on this board.

to whom are you closer?

Hi,

I am in Brunswick/St. Simons, so I imagine St. Augustine? I would be willing to make a trip on the weekend, though, to anywhere in a few hours drive.

Cheers,

James

well, plan on a trip down to gainesville sometime then. the piper in st. augustine is a student of mine.

quite a good flute player - better than i will ever be - and coming along on the pipes

I will do that. I’ll send you a pm this week, and hopefully we can work something out.

Cheers,

James
