No … no … not another one … Aaaiiiiieee!!!

No … No another one …

Enjoyed that, Thanks.

I was hoping for at least 13-15, ya know a CD’s worth

And, I would really appreciate a narrative account of at least one of the tunes… and attempting to think how Peter’s thread discussion could be interwoven between these threads and Arbo’s tunes (or anyone else’s). How a musician works out the tune. Utilizing all the vocabulary and all the tools. Maybe I don’t understand forums either, being a newbie and all that. :boggle:

hey, where did the tune go?

Tune is back up. I wasn’t happy with the previous take. This one isn’t perfect either, but I think better. I am not sure what you want with respect to an account of the tune? Perhaps you can be more specific. Not sure I shall be able to answer your questions, but I can give it a shot.

Transcription practice Empty! You seem to have a special talent in this area.

I don’t want to steal Peter’s thread “Slurring, tonguing and the lazy/undecided mind?”, and I’m not sure if merging the two threads is possible for anything (for me) or for anyone. Or can we talk about what you’re doing Arbo in regard to what Peter is asking. Or talk over in Peter’s thread?

So I guess I’m asking Arbo if you use tonguing or not, if so when/where? If not, why not? Arbo as you’re perfecting your tune, could you speak to what Peter is asking, lift, pulse, rhythm…

Nice Playing. It sounded really strange to me and then I noticed the Eb whistle. I guess I must be more sensitive to that than it thought…

Folks,
Thanks for listening to the recent tunes I have posted. I would like to help you out with some understanding of what I am doing as I play, but honestly, I think that is a little beyond me… at least dissecting the tune into taps, and cuts, and double taps, slurs, etc. You can probably tell a tongued not by how it ‘pops’ out within the tune. You can probably tell the same for slurred notes. Beyond that… well, I just don’t know.

Thanks Arbo, and I’ll keep listening.

Empty Guru,
any chance you might transcribe what is happening in the Gravel Walks jig? I would like to make some comments about what I THINK I am doing, but perhaps that would be better addressed with your wonderful notation as a guide?

I’ll have a listen later today, Arbo.

Hey, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this. Thanks!

Thanks Chris! I really appreciate that!
