Tweaked whistles for sale

I am selling seven of my tweaked/hybrid whistles (I need the money to buy a chromatic tuner to help me with my new experiments of making whistles in the keys of E, B and A using Generation/Walton fipples and brass tubing from a hobby shop). I am selling them at the cost it was to me to buy the whistles and fipples and no added cost for my labor.

All the whistles have a Walton Little Black tweaked (sticky tack added) fipple.

3 have Feadog barrels - $11.50 for each
1 with an O?Grady barrel- $12.50
1 with an old OAK (from the mid eighties when they were made in the USA) barrel- $13.50
2 with a black Acorn barrel-$10.50.

To fit the WLB fipple on the painted Acorn whistle I had to sand off the paint at the fipple end of the whistle (about ¾ of an inch of the barrel). I did not realize this at first and put the WLB on the whistle and only could move it on a little and could not tune it. I had to use pliers to get the fipple off so there is some scuff marks at the base of the fipple but the mouthpiece and blade are in perfect shape.

$3.50 for shipping to any one address (USA only)

A by-product of my hybrid whistles is that I have some extra fipples hanging around (like donut holes). I have 5 Oak/Acorn black fipple (two with sticky tack in them) and four green Feadog fipples. I will give them away to people who buy the whistles for free-first come first serve (since the cost for these fipples were already incurred in the price of the whistle-if we could only get Dunk?n Donuts to do the same). Just let me know what type and how many you want. I can add sticky tack to any of fipples if you want.

Joe,I highly recommend a Korg CA 10 tuner for your new project. It is entirely digital and very accurate…its also one of the least expensive with exceptionaly long battery life and its the one I use for everything.I purchased mine four or five years ago and I’ve changed the battery once in this time and at the time it cost less than two sets of guitar strings!Good luck with your sale.Peace, Mike

Thanks for the advice. Right now I am using either my guitar tuner, which is only good for a few notes, or an online tuner that Joe from the UK recommended, which is working OK but ties me down in front of the computer do to my filing.
