Turas go Tir na nOg-redux

Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh has made his original debut recording “Turas go Tir na nOg (ar dhroim asail)” available for download online.

He made the album in 1999 to raise money for a trip to Africa and it was recorded in the stairwell of the Irish Traditional Music Archive. Only 500 copies were made.

Caoimhín has apparently turned down offers to re-release the album because he doesn’t believe it represents his musical best (read his opinions in the link below), but that strikes me as overactive modesty–there are some fantastic Sliabh Luachra tunes on here.

It’s available at http://www.giggible.com/caoimhin for the price of 8 Euros. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to figure out how to purchase it…Whenever I click on the shopping cart button, all I get is a page saying “parameter error.” If anyone else has better luck, let me know.

It appears there is a problem with the page set-up. I gaet the following message from 2CO.com:

Parameter Error

Incorrect parameters were supplied, therefore this purchase cannot begin.

If you are attempting to purchase from a web site please contact the web site so that they can correct the error.

I have written to them to let me know when its fixed.

Good luck. I asked them to fix that a month ago; they said to try back in a few days. It is still broken.

Glad it wasn’t just a case of my computer ineptitude. I left a message on Caoimhín’s MySpace page about it, so hopefully he’ll have a word with the Giggible people about it so that people can start sending fistfuls of euros his way.
