The political board is a place where everyone pretends to dissagree with everyone else and proceed to push a topic around the field. There are a few stallwart individuals who never shift - I call em goalposts. So we push the topic round till it passes a goalpost or the ball gets kicked to death. An interesting game, but one I got bored with - I am going there now only to look at the image association thread that someone tried (unscuccessfully) to drag onto the field.
As in any sport - onfield tactics tend to stay onfield so all the players can share a brew and a larf in the pub.
