I think its:

Deleted antique address.

I don’t have a phone number, though. The white pages on the internet might find that for you.

I don’t think you can find an e-mail addy because I offered to give him a computer if he would get on the internet.

He declined.

This came up on a Google search:

and here:

The correct address is

70 Markham Road
East Montpelier VT 05651

The telephone number shown on the two sites to which Tony provided links is no longer in service. You can reach him in the shop at 802 229 0315.

Orbis,
If it happens, I’ve got dibs on your Childress drones!  Good to hear from you.
Rick

Thanks everyone for the information. I hope that will help me.

I offered to give him a computer…

Wow… are you serious??? If so, that’s crazy!!!

Oh and Rick… I’m only looking to buy drone reeds… unless you really want to buy my set of Childress drone reeds… I’m quite happy with the drones themselves… sorry man…

Well, actulally it was a swap that I offered him.

I had a 450 MHZ Celeron computer built with an old 8.4 gig hard drive, modem, floppy, crdrom and network card (no sound card) I was building for a fileserver. I had Linux installed, tools installed for any kind of internet connection. I talked to him at the tionol and told I would give it to him for a C chanter reed for my Seth Gallagher set. He said he only reeded his own sets now, so he wasn’t interested in it. I thought it was a deal.

I wondered at one time if he uses kerosene lamps and tred lathes, but I see he has a phone number (boy, is my contact info out of date), so he has at least one connection to the outside world that would be faster than snail mail. He may have electricity too!

I think I may give him a call and ask how to make a winter reed for that darn thing. That C set sounds beautiful now, If I just had some strength to play more. I think the drone reeds finally decided to play in and behave..

I don’t blame BK for turning down a computer.

These things are the biggest “time thieves” ever invented.

My parents used to call TV the “idiot box” back in the 60s/70s… now it’s the computer stealing our time.
