Earth calling Chris Wilkes ....

Hi all

I’d given a flute owner what I thought were the contact details for English maker Chris Wilkes but she reports no success on any of the below:

Chris Wilkes, flute maker,
The Old School, Moreton Eye, Leominster, Hereford HR6 0DP, UK
Tel: +44 (0)1568 615772
Email: christopher@wilkes51.fsnet.co.uk

Can anyone update me?

Terry

His website is also down for quite some time now…hope he’s well!

Domain name renewal date was on Feb. 10, but should now be good through 2011. Other than that, the info is what I have (although I have a different email address). Maybe he’s in the middle of changing hosts during the renewal period? If there were any DNS changes, it can take 72 hours to propagate. Has the customer actually tried the phone#? No response from the postal address, too?

She advises:

“Email bounced back. His phone number
“cannot be recognised” and his website is unavailable.”

I had contact with Chris recently on Facebook, which route you could try. He said he hoped to have the website back up soon. Without being indiscreet I think I can say Chris has some major domestic problems at present and other things may not be (able to be) priorities for a while. I’m not trying to speak for him, but I’m sure he’ll deal with business as best he can and will appreciate good wishes, but it would be fairer to give him space and time and not to pester or be unduly inquisitive.

Thanks Jem. Unaware of all this. I’ll steer the lady elsewhere.

Since you brought it up Terry, I haven’t heard back from you in a while. Sent you a couple of e-mails you know :poke:

I’ll cool off with some
whisky

Oh dear, sorry Henke, I am a bit gigawhelmed at the moment.

Good plan. At the rate I’m going, you’d better ask for the bottle …

Just a note that you may want to remove the posted details of Mr. Wilkes’ contact information above, or garble them somehow, so that the poor fellow isn’t suddenly overwhelmed with spam and telemarketing calls when the info-harvesting bots sweep over this page. Internet hooligans!
