I’m so sad to hear of Tommy Makem’s death from cancer, even if we had been told that it was going to be soon.
We were fortunate enough to get to hear Tommy play at the Chicago Gaelic Park festival a couple of years ago. I’m so glad that Anita got to hear him sing and play. When I introduced Anita to Tommy, he was gracious and charming.
A great artist and a true gentleman.
He was a great musician.
