This just in: Mars was once soaking wet

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/03/02/mars.findings/index.html

My question: Was it water…or drool?

I vote drool.

But the question of potentially vast consequence is this: if we could taste that drool, would it be familiar drool? Would we turn green? Grow large muscles? Develop world-domineering intelligence?

Or simply bazooka-barf?

:boggle:

The world may never know…

Is there evidence of delrin on Mars? I mean, did the water run off, or just bead up?

The biggest question probably is:

Does it matter in the long run?

Actually, past all the kidding, it may matter more than any of us guess.

Finding extraterrestrial life would be a Big Deal, even if it’s just microbes it would still be one of the single most important discoveries ever.

Finding solid evidence of water on Mars is a major step towards laying the groundwork for accurately discovering whether or not Mars ever had life, and of what kind.

Did they find any weapons of mass destruction? Oh, sorry, wrong thread.

My making fun of the Mars rover discovery notwithstanding (I kid the astronomers and spacegeeks because I love them. I kid=I love), I think it is a really big deal and I agree with James. It ain’t like finding tadpoles or Republicans, but it is a step.

(I kid the Republicans [and tadpoles] because I love them).

If a Martian tadpole from earlier aquatic times survives the cold dessication of Martian climate dormant in dry mud, then revives when wet again-its a repuddle-ican

I always wondered how Dale finds out all this info on Mars, he sure gets around.

Probably a secret meeting with the crystal people.

LOL! Classic!

Great. Fatboy on Mars.

Nope – just Dr. WhOA making the rounds.

Maybe this is closer to the original photo:

Wow! That’s great! Where did you get the deluxe outhouse?!

It’s a TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space), from the BBC Sci-fi series “Dr. Who.”
