Hi, I’m thinking of buying a whistle. I already play Great Highland Bagpipes and the Mountain Dulcimer. I’ve seen several references on this forum to whOA and just wondered what it is.

Is there a GHB equivalent?

The GHB equivalent happens with tunes well at least with me. Pipes are too expensive to have WhOA but chek this out http://www.highlandhornpipe.com I have HHOA (WhOA with the Highland Hornpipe) I have two on order I’m waiting for them (they ship Wednsday). I want one in each key they make and probably will someday. :smiley: I say whistle is a great insturment and playing Pipes will help because of the Oramentaion (Embellshiments) you have to use so go for it if you want t nice cheap whistle go with the Clarke Sweetone they are one of the best inexpensive in my opinion. :smiley:
