Things I know

I know that Coldeez cough drops make everything taste absolutely horrible.

I know that I should have taken the Sudafed that DOES make you tired last night…I might have gotten at least a bit of sleep.

I know that Kleenex tissues work way better than the store brand.

I know that hot tea is great for a sore throat.

I know that if you have a fever, your spouse doesn’t like to cuddle up to you at night.

I know that I hadn’t better know these things by next week, or else I might just lose more of my mind than I already have :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi

I have absolutely no sympathy with you because nobody ever has any sympathy for me when I’m ill, and everyone knows there is nothing iller than a man who is feeling a bit under the weather. Childbirth? That’s nothing. I’ve got a cold! I’m feeling terrible! Nobody in the world could possibly feel worse that a man who’s got a cold.

Really, I do hope you’ll feel better soon, because then you’ll stop bitchin’ about it.

Of all the things I’ve lost, my mind is the one I miss the most.

… I do hope you’ve got someone there who feels sorry for you and makes you nice hot cups of tea.

This is a good difference between men and women…men bitch because they really do feel they deserve our undivided sympathy, regardless of what else might be going on in life. In other words, they tend toward selfishness.

Women bitch because we know it annoys the hell out of men. Looks like I’ve done my job well

And to keep on the topic at hand, in lieu of your post, I know why no one bothers to feel sorry for you when you are sick. I wouldn’t either. :stuck_out_tongue:

And I also know that when one comes to a message board to forge cyber friendships with those they share a common interest, thoughts such as quoted above might be better left unsaid.

Anent the morning after, I know I’m never eating sliders again. Jeez Lou-ise.

I know:

That if if anything could make me believe in a god it would be the existence of my wife.

That, in general, I am very lucky.

That I am very, very lucky.

That life is great.

That few things make life great in the same way that playing music with other people does.

That I have some fine friends.

That I spend less time being scared than I used to.

That I should have discovered the mandolin 35 years ago.

That I am glad I wrote this post sober.

I know that I think, therefore I am.

With fond regards to Descarte,

Dan

So, Descarte walks into a restaurant, sits down, orders, and has a nice meal.

As he’s finishing up, the waitress approaches and asks, “Would you like some dessert?”

“Oh, I think not,” he replies.

And poof he vanishes.

What, without paying? :astonished:

djm

Wow, djm, I didn’t think anyone could improve on that joke, but I believe you just did.

I think even the mundane and prosaic have a place in the greater scheme of things.

… and especially the redundant.
