I played that chanter a while. Billy was curious how mine was so loud it was cutting through the noise on a crowded Friday session at Molly Quinn’s (old one) and he could hear it all the way into the gents. I think he was wondering if it was insanely harder than his. I played Tom Dahill’s Rowsome too–Billy’s was about the same strength as mine and Tom’s was easier, but the answer to the puzzle seemed to come down to something more mystical than mere physics.
