The Rough Guide to Scottish Folk

Greetings. I bought the above mentioned cd for just one track, track 7: Rory Campell & Malcolm Stitt, the name of the tune is: John Griffin’s. This is a tune from their original album called: Field of Bells.
To listen to a sample, go here and choose track7 (you’ll need the realplayer): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/clipserve/B00004BYZR001007/104-0586632-9263118
(crazy address, I know)

Anyway, that tune is just fabulous, it’s a low D tune, just wonderful, I’m practising it with my Dixon low D.
Check it out, you won’t regret it:-)
Cheers, Amar.

By the way, another cd called The Rough Guide to Scottish Music: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000B18Z/qid=1021137256/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/104-0586632-9263118
has also got loads of good tunes, some that you can play with a Bb whistle (bagpipe tunes)

(edited cuz I screwed up the address..)
